Derby’s Pet Fence got its start in the typical way -- trial and error! Stephen Baralt, the owner, describes it this way:

“We got into the business because our previous dog was unable to be contained by traditional fencing. After years of dealing with her climbing, digging, or just plain pulling traditional fencing apart, (not to mention running through open gates), we decided we needed to try another approach when we adopted our new dog, Derby. We were so pleased with the results of the fence during the first several months of ownership that we decided to become an independent dealer and installer of pet-containment systems and products.
